<HM, I'll have to add photos later since Dropbox isn't setup on my phone yet>
What a gorgeous day!
Fabulous way to end a tough week and get off on the right foot for next week! Last week, Kevin was out of town and I hung a bunch of pics - they look great! There are just a few that Kevin isn't a fan of, but they'll stay in place until he comes up with a better idea. In the meantime, I feel good that progress was made and the pics are off the floor. Although there are still a few left to hang. Tomorrow's goal is Olivia's room, and perhaps the one big pic to put over our bed. That'll all depend on if Kevin's ok with me putting the pics in those places. :)
Olivia loves bananas. And I mean L-O-V-E-S bananas. So much so that she's eaten a lot of them. A LOT. So much so that she's stopped up, poor dear. Little Olivia has had a tummy ache for the last couple days and it's affected her sleep, etc. Tonight I gave her prunes prunes prunes, so we're waiting for them to work the magic! In the meantime, I took Olivia for a nice long walk this morning to get her out of the house so Kevin could sleep a little and hopefully get her back to sleep. Olivia ended up taking a 2.5 hour nap and as a result was quite pleasant at Easter brunch at Patti and Steven's house. She was so cute - and the entertainment. :) Our broccoli salad turned out pretty tasty too!
While Olivia and I were on our nice long walk, I took a minute to reflect on how wonderful everything was at *that* moment: everyone on the trail was saying Good Morning, my little girl was finally sleeping peacefully and we were getting exercise, the weather was gorgeous, my wonderful husband is home for the forseeable future, we have a vacation booked, the birds were chirping and just everything was lovely. I feel very blessed.
Easter at the Brown's was lovely - delicious medley of egg-based casseroles, plus sticky-bun casserole and of course our broccoli salad. Gotta have some onion in the mix! We spent a good deal of the party out on blankets on the lawn under the shade of a beautiful coral bark (Sanko Kaku) Japanese maple playing with Olivia. Kathy chatted with us for awhile and the weather was still perfect. I had the chance to start breaking in my new phone. (Kevin and I finally purchased new phones and switched to T-Mobile so he could have a personal phone that works. We went with the Samsung Galaxy S5 Good deal!)
Now I am looking forward to planning a little shower/ friend get-together for Megan and Chet who are expecting a little girl in early July / late June. Exciting times!!!
Now to sleep... another long week ahead.
xoxo
Kate
