9 Months and Doing Fine!

Yesterday was Olivia's 9-month day, and today was her doctor appointment.  The littlest sweetheart is growing just fine.  She weighs 16 lbs 4 ozs (18th %ile I think), is 28 in (26th %ile I think), and her head is still large - 97th %ile!  She still loves to clap and this evening was spinning around on her tummy to get to different toys.

Olivia has learned the trick of dumping over the plastic bin full of toys and today I brought out the walker-helper toy from Aunt Annie last Christmas.  Olivia was spellbound by the flashing lights.  The jumperoo doesn't hold her interest quite as much these days, but she still generally likes it.  I think miss smarty pants has figured out that we tend to walk away when she's in the jumperoo because she's safe in there and mom / dad needs to shower!  She still loves to look at bubbles, and slapping books.  Her games are to pull the hair of whomever is holding her - and to pull it HARD!  She likes to grab your face too!

Olivia is eating very well - she LOVES chicken and bananas.  She also reaches for anything and everything on the table so we've learned to set things just out of reach.  That just succeeds in making her frustrated and mad!  lolz.  The beginning of tantrums.

Last night, Olivia slept through the entire night for the first time in several months.  Good sign!  Although, mom doesn't mind cuddling and nursing her in bed in the morning.  :)  I cannot believe how much she's grown and changed.  I'm trying so hard to enjoy every moment.  I wish I didn't have to work full time and could spend more waking hours withe Olivia.  But, I'm happy she's being socialized.

I tell you though, if we have a second kid, I'm taking the maximum amount of time off.

Today I hung a few more pics in Olivia's room, so her room is done in the regard.  The only things left for her room are the blinds, painting the window trim, closet door, and heating vent.  Blinds and heating vent *may* happen this weekend.  If I can inspire Kevin, the maybe possibly perhaps possibly we might have some progress on the window trim.  I'm so ready to just do it by hand with a paintbrush and stop waiting for him.  The closet door is somewhat low priority since Olivia's dresser is in the closet and the door would probably interfere with opening her drawers.

Otherwise, the weekend will entail yard work (intending to finally turn over the veggie garden and plant a few things), Target & grocery stores, hopefully the library, early Sat am walk with Amy, music class, and odds and ends around the house.  Hopefully some exercise as well.

I'm sticking with my plan of getting one thing done a day at the house somewhat.  One thing at a time and it'll eventually be very minor things... tonight I also cleared a few things out of the hall closet that just looked trashy.  I was going to look for some family photos to print in black and white for the hallway.  But, it's getting late, and I have to be up early so that might have to happen tomorrow.

It's nice to not be crazy stressed at work.  What a difference!

I love my little girl.

Looking forward to our 10 days in Hawaii at the end of June (Kauai, super fancy), and our Anniversary camping trip the first weekend in May!!! Hey, that's two weekends away - awesome!  I guess we need to start hunting down our camping gear.

Kevin is going to take his "child bonding" leave very soon.  He'll start just after Memorial Day (which I'll be spending in MD with Olivia seeing the Litwin crowd) and will go for awhile.  So jealous!

OK, bed time for reals.  Have to get up early to go walking with Amy tomorrow.  Looking forward to it!  I need some stretching in there too!
